Polti is Europe’s leading innovator of domestic steam cleaning, seeing constant growing demand since 1978 when Franco Polti introduced the VAPORELLA. The Vaporella was the first steam iron with separate boiler for domestic use.

Polti innovation continued, in 1983 the VAPORETTO was released. Vaporetto was the first domestic appliance to clean the whole house using the power of Dry Steam. The Vaporetto was (and is) also environmentally friendly, long before environmentally products were so popular.

Polti is an Italian company, being experts in Steam, Heating and Boiling appliances it was only a matter of time before Polti launched it's AROMA Range (1994) of stylish Coffee Machines able to produce coffee with the taste of Real Italian Espresso. The Aroma Range (Tris Aroma Coffee Maker / Espresso Crema Coffee Makers)  feature Polti Patent Crema Express device. The Tris Aroma makes Espresso and Cappuccino and can also be used for Tea and Herbal Infusions, featuring a Steam Wand and Cup Warming plate made with classic Italian Style.

Polti is also responsible for Stira and Aspira ironing boards with heating / suctioning function. Again completely innovative, making ironing even easier, especially when combined with a Vaporella Iron. Vaporella New Concepts include irons with heat exchange and a comfortable ironing station named simply: Vaporella Advanced System. The Vaporella Advanced System combines an ironing board with heating, suction and airing functions with an integrated Vaporella Iron, offering unlimited operating time.

Already leading the market with Steam Cleaners; Polti entered the Vacuum Cleaner Market in 1999. A revolutionary product for its shape and innovative concept, LECOLOGICO vacuum cleaner with water filter was born. Following the success of Lecologico Polti combined steam cleaner power of Vaporetto with Lecologico water filter vacuum cleaner and launched LECOASPIRA the next year. The Vaporetto Lecoaspira cleans, vacuums, dries up and purifies air at the same time.

In 2007 rumours emerged that Polti had ceased trading. The truth could not be further from the rumour. Polti was imported in to the UK by distributors, but had decided it was time to change and began making arrangements for a UK office to handle distribution in the UK. PoltiUK were busy during 2007 / 2008 recruiting for their new UK head office in Leeds and re-establishing links with retailers throughout the UK to provide a network of Approved Dealers, Authorised Service Agents and Suppliers of Spares and Accessories. In 2008 new offices opened, new products were launched, and a new era for the UK market began, hence the phrase "Polti is Back!".
